" Naipunnya "
The word 'Naipunnya', derived from Sanskrit means dexterity or mastery, and it aims at professionalism, discipline and holistic development of children and youth. Our aim is to equip the young, including the ones in the economically and socially underprivileged strata, to get a platform to forge their skills and potentials.
History
Naipunnya Public School is a project of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly, started in 2003, under the visionary leadership of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kalapurackal. This is a co-educational Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The School is managed by Naipunnya Educational and Charitable Trust-NECT-(Regd.). NPS is located at 12 kms from Angamaly, in Edakkunnu a remote village in the limits of Karukutty Grama Panchayath.
N.P.S. is officially declared as Christian Minority Institution by the Govt. of India in 2009.
Established in 1998, we have three major educational institutions In the Naipunnya group: Naipunnya Institute of Management and Information Technology (NIMIT), Pongam, Thrichur Dist. (Affiliated to the University of Calicut), Naipunnya School of Management (NSM), Cherthala, Alleppey Dist. (Affiliated to the University of Kerala) and Naipunnya Public School (NPS) Edakkunnu.
